On Friday, February 9, 2024, at 11:00 am, a press conference titled “Hatimara’s Artificial Lake and Chunati Wildlife Sanctuary” was held at the auditorium of the National Press Club organized by Dhoritri Rokhhay Amra(DHORA). Sharmeen Murshid, Co-convener of DHORA, chaired the conference, and the key speech was delivered by Sanjida Rahman, Coordinator of Chunati Rokkhay Amra. The entire event was moderated by Sharif Jamil, Member Secretary of DHORA. Among others present were M.S. Siddiqui, non-government adviser (NGA) to the Bangladesh Competition Commission and Co-convener, Mostafa Alomgir Ratan, Head of the Media Cell of Workers’ Party, Abdul Karim Kim, member of the Advisory Committee of DHORA, Assistant Professor Mir Mohammad Ali of Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Climate Expert Monir Hossain Chowdhury, Coordinator of Upokul Protirokkhay Amra, Nikhil Chandra Bhadra, and Mujibur Rahman from Aranya.
